We currently support children, youth and students across Ontario with the aim of expanding our reach to individuals across Canada in the next five years; our long-term goal is to have MHDG chapters around the world. Right now, we are looking for two (2) individuals to join the Board and support the exciting work we do. The start date is to be determined.
Our standard meeting schedule is one weekday evening per month for two (2) hours. Additional meetings will be required for MHDG fundraising events and community engagement as opportunities become available. The successful applicants will gain experience in governance, strategic planning, risk management, budgeting and community collaboration.
If selected, you will be offered a temporary position on the Board for a three-month probationary period to assess the fit and the dynamics. Attendance is required at all three (3) Board meetings that are scheduled during those three months.
The successful candidate’s term will be two (2) years after the probationary period has ended. Board members work in collaboration with each other and the Administrative Assistant(s). If you feel inspired to help and you believe you can contribute, please complete the form below and upload a résumé including a one-page expression of interest outlining why you would like to join MHDG.
